This is very confusing, please help!

Yes get the decaf, don’t use capsule instead of the tea, they have caffeine.

So here's the deal. I've lost some weight, and still trying to loose a few. I go back to school August 14th, and we ALL know that school food really can't be all that good for you!
I really don't want to get fat, or gain everything back!
And i don't want to pack my own lunch everyday, because that will get soo expensive, and really inconvienent.

I'm going to eat breakfast at home, but what is a good breakfast that will keep me full until lunch time. And even then will keep me from pigging out at lunch!
What are some healthier school lunch choices? Like healthy things I can eat there. And what are good snacks I can bring in my backpack to munch on if I get hungry?

And are the diet teas like lipton diet green tea, diet snapple peach tea good for me? I buy the cases from sam's club and plan on bringing them with me to school.

[ highschool lunch by the way, so there's a lot to choose from! ]

thanks guys!
:D oh by the way, i'm going to be on cross country.

and the days i don't practice with cross country, i will be going to the gym after school (3:30)
so there's my exercise by the way [:
in case you were wondering

I am going into 9th grade and am doing cross country too and I totally understand how hard it can be to stay full and still eat healthy.

For breakfast:
Try Nestle's Carnation Instant Breakfast Chocolate Milk Mix. Its packed with protein and vitamins so it keeps you full and still tastes normal. Also have a granola bar. I especially like General Mill's Fiber One bars which taste really good and are only 150 calories with 9 grams of protein. This breakfast keeps me full and concentrated until lunch.

If you do need a snack anytime during the day, bring a small container of Ritz crackers ,strawberries and pineapple, or Goldfish.

For lunch:
I have a turkey sandwich with lettuce and cheese, a water, and one of those 100 Calorie Packs snacks. The 100 Calorie Pack snacks are great because they come in so many different popular varieties and most of them taste exactly like the real things.

Also, if you practice cross country in the afternoons (like I do), stash another one of the 100 Calorie Packs in your sports bag to quickly gulp down before practice to keep you going.

Drinking lots of water during the day helps to kepp you full and focused as well as it prepares your body to stay hydrated during your cross country workout too!

Hope this helps!

Has anyone used this and if so what were your results? Did you feel energized while using it?

Forget the supplements. Drink authentic green tea for the best results. Curbs appetite, antioxident and many other benefits!

I heard the drinking green tea was really good for you. I love Lipton's Diet Green Tea. It contains NO calories, NO sugar, No nothing. Do you think that drinking the bottled green tea is just as good for you as drinking the actual green tea from a bag?

I'd use the tea bags. The bottled tea is more processed so probably isn't as healthy.

I wonder if anyone has tried drinking green tea in order to lose weight? Answer this question only if you did tried this. In what period of time have you put weight off? How much pounds?
p.s. How many cups did you have per day?
Thank you in advance
Mihaela

Yes, I have. But in combination with regular exercise and healthy and balanced diet. The result was and still is very good :-). But there are more types of tea that are supposed to help you in weight loss, e.g. white tea and rooibos. Maybe you can also try these. White tea is of very gentle taste. Rooibos is quite full in aroma and tastes delicious.

The first answer to this question was the stupidest thing i've ever read. Not only was it a copy and paste about some green tea book, but it was totally irrelevant. This user is rated a "top contributor", HA HA HA….

To understand the truth behind the medical claims for green tea and the antioxidant properties of EGCG, it is first necessary to have a close look at what green tea is, and why these claims are being made.

Green tea is a form of tea made from the leaves of the Carmellia Sinensis, a shrub that is native to China and has spread to other areas of Asia including Japan and the Middle East. Drinking it is believed to impart many health benefits, including the prevention of obesity, heart disease and some forms of cancer and it has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 400 years.

Tea is known to have been consumed in China for around 5,000 years, and used, not only in Chinese medicine, but also in that of Japan, Thailand and India for a number of ailments including regulating blood sugar, treating wounds and digestive problems. The drinking of green tea to benefit the heart and other vital organs is described in the Kissa Yojoki (Book of Tea), written in 1191 by Eisai, a Japanese Zen priest.

This two-part book talks about the various medicinal benefits of green tea, such as preventing fatigue, curing beriberi, quenching thirst, clearing the thoughts, maintaining health of the urinary tract and improving digestive problems. It also explains how to grow tea and how to prepare and use the leaves. The methods of treatment of various ailments and medical conditions are described in the second part of the book.

The active ingredients in green tea are catechins, polyphenols with strong anti-oxidant properties. Antioxidants are important components of your diet due to their effect on free radicals. These are small molecules, generally oxygenated, such the superoxide cation and hydrogen peroxide that are generated during normal metabolic processes and also ingested in pollutants such as traffic and factory fumes and insecticides. Free radicals are also formed by the effect of the ultra-violet component of sunlight on your skin and other tissues.

The effect of free radicals on your body can be devastating, and they not only destroy cell membranes but also oxidize such molecules as the low density lipids (LDL) that carry cholesterol around your bloodstream. This allows the LDLs to be absorbed by the white blood cells and then deposited as fatty plaques in the walls of your arteries. The end result is a thickening and hardening of the arteries that leads to a condition known as atherosclerosis, where the blood supply to the brain and heart muscle is restricted, which can in turn lead to strokes and heart disease.

Their effect on your cells is to cause cancer and premature aging, among others, and free radicals are also believed to play a part in conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease and also inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and diabetes. They can also cause damage to your DNA

i've heard/read that green tea is good for you, and i've also heard that black tea has just as many beneficial components.
the black tea i have is decaf… so which is better?

All tea is pretty good for you. Each has its own benefits. Decaf tea no matter what I believe is better, because caffeine can be very bad for you.

-Green tea and black tea have a lot of antioxidants and are just plain better for you then many of the drinks out there.
- White tea is also good for you.
- For even more health benefits and no caffeine content try Rooibos tea. Its red tea, it tastes great, theres not caffeine, and its very good for you.
-Also try herb tea! Chamomile is an antispasmotic. So that helps with muscle tension, and still tastes pretty good.

Try www.CUSTOMLEAF.com. On that website you can create your own tea blend. So you can find tea that is good for you and also tastes good! Go figure!

I created Rooibos tea with blueberry and vanilla!!
