Fat burners do not work unless your diet is perfect and you train 4-6 days a week.
DO NOT TAKE THEM UNLESS YOU'RE DOING AS ABOVE

Please can i get detailed answers only from those that actually took them ONLY please. No ignorant critics here please because thats what i have noticed about this site, people are answering based on opinions and not actual trial, not trying to be being rude but that's the trend i have noticed. Thank you your answers are appreciated.

A friend of a friend took them, and apparently they worked. I think it's different for everyone though, no certainties. Good luck

I'm talking green tea fat burner and im wondering if its on recall? Should i stop talking it? I'm 15 with a history of a eating disorder.

I can't find any recall for that specific product, but large doses of green tea effect your bodies ability to absorb certain nutrients including folic acid.

There are 10 other herbs in it which also all have their own risks:

Bladderwrack
http://www.vitacost.com/Healthnotes/Herb/Bladderwrack.aspx
Are there any side effects or interactions?

Bladderwrack is generally safe, though there are three potential problems with its consumption: acne, thyroid dysfunction, and heavy-metal contamination. Iodine in any form—including from bladderwrack and other seaweeds—can cause or aggravate acne in some people.20 Excessive iodine ingestion can cause either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism and should be avoided.21 22 Bladderwrack and other seaweeds that grow in heavy-metal-contaminated waters may contain high levels of these toxins (particularly arsenic and lead), leading to nerve damage,23 kidney damage,24 or other problems. Only bladderwrack known to have been harvested from clean water or labeled to indicate the absence of heavy metals or other contaminants should be consumed. The safety of using bladderwrack during pregnancy and breast-feeding is unknown. People who are allergic to iodine may need to avoid bladderwrack.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/patient-bladderwrack.html
Children (under 18 years old)
There is not enough scientific evidence to recommend the safe use of bladderwrack in children. Because of the iodine content and potential for contamination with heavy metals, it may be inadvisable for use in children.

[...]

Side Effects and Warnings
Most adverse effects appear related to the high iodine content, heavy metal, or other contamination of bladderwrack preparations, rather than to the seaweed itself. Because of the potential contamination of bladderwrack with heavy metals, its consumption should always be considered potentially unsafe.

Based on the known effects of iodine toxicity and case reports, the high iodine content in bladderwrack may lead to abnormal thyroid conditions. In theory, bladderwrack may increase or decrease blood thyroid hormone levels. In addition, acne-type skin lesions may occur, and there are reports of severe acne exacerbations with the use of kelp. Iodine may also cause a brassy taste, increased salivation, and stomach irritation.

Reports of kidney and nerve toxicity have occurred in persons taking seaweed/kelp, attributed to high levels of arsenic. Abnormal bleeding and reduced blood platelet count was attributed to contaminants in a kelp product. Bladderwrack may contain vitamins and minerals, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium and may increase blood levels.

Extracts of bladderwrack may cause lowered blood sugar. Caution is advised in patients with diabetes or hypoglycemia and in those taking drugs, herbs, or supplements that affect blood sugar. Serum glucose levels may need to be monitored by a healthcare provider, and medication adjustments may be necessary.

Bladderwrack may have blood-thinning (anticoagulant) properties. Abnormal bleeding, petechiae, and autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura with dyserythropoiesis have been reported. Caution is advised in patients with bleeding disorders or taking drugs that may increase the risk of bleeding. Dosing adjustments may be necessary.

Laxative properties have traditionally been attributed to chronic use of bladderwrack and other brown seaweeds and may be due to the component alginic acid, present in many laxative agents.

http://www.vitacost.com/Healthnotes/Herb/Eleuthero.aspx#Side-Effects
Are there any side effects or interactions?

Reported side effects have been minimal with use of eleuthero.15 Mild, transient diarrhea has been reported in a very small number of users. Eleuthero may cause insomnia in some people if taken too close to bedtime. Eleuthero is not recommended for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure. There are no known reasons to avoid eleuthero during pregnancy and breast-feeding. However, pregnant or breast-feeding women should be aware that some products may be adulterated with herbs that should not be taken in pregnancy, such as Asian ginseng. Only eleuthero from a trusted source should be used.

In one case report, a person taking eleuthero with digoxin developed dangerously high serum digoxin levels.16 Although a clear relationship could not be established, it is wise for someone taking digoxin to seek the advise of a doctor before taking eleuthero.

i would to take the green tea fat burner pills last year for almost 9 months..i guess you can say i got addicted to them..and i recently stopped taking them 3 months ago..the thing is lately i been having anixety problems…do you think it could be from the pill??has anybody heard about that??maybe cause the pill has so much caffine in it???its a bad feeling to i feel at times i cant breathe

Going off caffeine suddenly will mess with you. I tried quitting coffee once and a month later I was still not functioning properly. Real short attention span (I've always had that anyway, but it was worse) and no energy at all. Finally, I said "Hey I'm having my coffee" and started again. I think the problem was that I quit cold turkey. I think I could taper off of it and get it done, but I really haven't pursued it. I'm not all that interested, cause I really like coffee.
But if you're trying to break a dependence on the caffeine (and that sounds like what your problem is), then maybe a little bit of coffee or tea (I don't recommend Coke or Mt. Dew cause of all the HFCS) will help. Not a lot, just enough to take the edge off. And then just taper it off from there.

green tea pills?

25.December, 2008

I was going to try fat burners but I'm 16 and someone told me in another question that fat burners werent healthy and to try green tea pill.

So have you or anyone you know used green tea pills, and did they work?
I would also appreciate if U know to tell me how they work?
Thanks for the answer!

Green Tea has properties that help with weightloss. You can find more about it at the link below.

Green Tea helps to increase the metabolism. Your problem could be what you are eating and that you don't exercise correctly.

I would avoid unnatural diet pills. They usually are harmful and are very low quality. That page below does have a natural liquid green tea extract to help you with the weight loss process.

23.December, 2008

I am currently 5'3" and 132 pounds. I recently started the Special K diet along with exercising 5 days a week. How much weight do you think I will lose in 2 weeks with my regimen?

Special K for breakfast and lunch along with fruit & 2 Green Tea Fat Burner soft gels each meal.
Lean Cuisine dinners for dinner.
A whole lot of water (8 cups+).

Exercise (5x a week):
30 min Elliptical Trainer on level 5
20 min Stationary Bike on level 3
10 min Stair Master on level 7
10 min Walking (cool-down)
40 min of weight training (different muscles each day).
1 hour of walking my dogs at night.

Thanks for your answers!

hey i'd say - depending on how much water weight ur carrying.. around 8 or 9lbs… for every 4500 cals u burn, u lose 1lb in weight! keep a track on how many cals u burn on the cardio equipment (if it has that function).

I want to lose weight fast!!?

19.December, 2008

I am 14 years old and 5'0 feet tall and I weigh about 125 pounds. Well I take these diet pills and they are called Green Tea Fat Burner. Here's the sight:http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_product_detail.jsp?filterBy=&skuId=259172&productId=259172&navAction=jump&navCount=3
after I go and exercise on the treadmill or ride my bike for about an hour. I've done this so many times. For example I lost 15 pounds 3 months ago but then I gained it all back again. This time I want to lose about 25 pounds. It's really hard for me to eat healthy so I just try no to eat, but if I'm really hungry I eat carrots.

Hey Sara,
First thing you need to do is address your eating issues. You can lose the weight time and time again but if you don't address the eating (whether too much or just junk) you will not get your body healthy. Also you need to assess what is truly a healthy weight, many people today (both men and women) want to look like a professional swimmer or runner. There are many health service facilities that offer free initial consultation (including BMI and such) that would be a great place to start and surround yourself with positive people who know of your desires of getting yourself healthy, so they don't go out and score burgers and donuts every other night…take care of yourself -peace
