i'm 16 years old. i'm planning to ask out a girl but im uncomfortable with my weight. what should i do?
17.December, 2008
i'm 5'7"
152 lbs.
pretty muscular, but i wanna get rid of the extras, especially around the butt area lol.
i bowl, play tennis and basketball.
i am considering taking green tea fat burner for a quick weight loss.
3 months ago i went on a protein diet, went from 145 to 155, gaining 5 lbs of muscle but also 5 lbs of fat.
i've been on a hard diet this past 3 weeks to lose it, but im stuck at 152.
what should i do now?
also what is the best way to approach this girl i like?
i've been talking to her a lot mainly through text msgs for the last 2 months but the last 3 weeks its been really close between me and her. how do i get to that next step?
First off, women love self-confidence in a guy, so my #1 suggestion will be to ditch the insecurity of your weight! Be sure to present an entire package to her: "I'm active, I care about my health, I have a great personality, and I'm Funny!"
Now at 16, I'm sure your $$$ might be strapped, so use this opportunity to show her how creative you can be and make her some food! I'm sure you'll get a "Woah, you can cook too!?!?!" lol and I'll you have to do is Yahoo! search " easy recipes" and you're in! And then go for a walk. Let her know what you intend to stay active by doing. She'll WANT to keep up with you and that will make you an interesting "catch" for her.
Try it. And GOOD LUCK!

sounds like a good diest, but make sure you start doing cardio, the AF pt test is one and a half mile, and push ups and sit ups, pretty easy you get so many points depending on your age

Diet pills do not work in the long term. Diets are not a way of life - it is not something you can continue with for the rest of your life. In order to lose weight effectively, you need to eat a well balanced diet (high fiber foods, whole grains (avoid white breads/pastas), eat dark green/ orange vegetables & fruits), as well include regular physical active into your routine. It is about changing your lifestyle not taking pills. As a personal trainer, I would not recommend you or anyone take diet pills - they are not effective in the long run. Good luck.

Did you lose weight…?
11.December, 2008
Has anyone tried the Green Tea Fat Burner liquid soft-gels?
Did they work?
I've read reviews that say they only give you headaches and jitters, but I'm dieting and fairly active and I just need to lose those last ten pounds.
I have lost fat and have gained better health by following this and the other program I mention in My Profile.
You will get everything you need by eating the following:
Raw leafy green veggies (romaine, red and green leaf lettuces, kale spinach, etc)
Solid green veggies - raw, steamed or frozen (asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, peas, peppers, etc)
Non-green, non-starchy (beets, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc)
Beans/legumes - cooked, canned or sprouted ( chickpeas, pinto beans, black beans, etc)
Fresh fruits (apples, bananas, oranges, watermelon, etc)
Starchy veggies (white potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, corn, carrots, etc)
Whole grains (barley, millet, oats, brown rice, quinoa, etc)
Raw nuts and seeds (almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc)
Do not skip breakfast. Oatmeal with fresh fruit. No sugar or milk. Rice or almond milk is better. Smoothies can be good too, depending on what you put in it.
You don't have to eat eggs, fish or meat for protein. You can still eat them, but a huge salad with some chicken would be better.
Don't count calories or carbs. Diets and pills don't work. Man made vitamins are just that "man made". Man can not copy all the nutrients that are found in live foods. Raw leafy greens are the highest in nutrient density.
Drink filtered water. City water may have added chemicals. Can you really trust bottled water?
Pop is one of the worst things you can put in your body. Stay away from sugar, junk food and fast food.

Is this a dangerous combination of supplements?

2. glutamine
3. Protein shake before and after…repairing muscle right??
after that i just started to take
glutamine, protein shake, and caffeine pills…kinda work..wasnt that great
now im just taking a green tea fat burner to boot up my metabolism loose that fat weight faster
I was wondering if I took
1. Green Tea Fat Burner
2. glutamine
3. fuzion or caffeine pills
4. protein shake
if those are a good idea. i took the caffeine pills instead of fuzion because all i wanted was that extra energy but i was able to lift as much.
Any one have any comments?!?
You need to focus less on the magic bullet approach and more on the specifics of your exercise program. Learn how to do "metabolic" circuit training, and incorporate about a dozen or so stations. Do 20 reps (or more) at each station, and take no more than 15 seconds between stations. Work out continuously for about one hour five days per week. Think outside the box; use odd objects for part of your training (I prefer kettlebells and sandbags), and be prepared to suffer a bit. This program is not for sissies and if you have something against hard work then avoid this! Eat lots of protein and moderate carbs and fat. Those supplements won't do much good for you but the companies who market them will sing your praises! Stay with this program for at least six months and do not deviate from it. You will be ripped.

secondary amenorrhea…why?
07.December, 2008
havent had my period since august –7 months ago.
its always been irregular
i am 5'1 and 92 lbs.
i cant gain wait and neither am i planning to because all my fat goes to my stomach
i do varsity track (stopped menstruating before this)
stress: i've been really stressed lately but my periods stopped before the stress
i'm a virgin
i take green tea fat burner pills sometimes (but this was very recent) –they have caffeine…
whats going on??
(16 years old)
Unfortunately you did not mention your age which is very important for amenorrhea. If you are already 16-17 – better make full analysis and diagnosis because it is not so simple. First you should know why you have amenorrhea before starting hormonal treatment because if you use hormones – your hormonal analysis will be absolutely wrong!!! Amenorrhea could be in many cases:
1.ovarian diseases,
2.genetic diseases,
3.stressful life or one big stress,
4.very low level of hormones,
5.diabetic status,
6.absence of uterus or rudimental uterus (very rare!),
7.some other.
Be Healthy and Happy!
It is strongly recommended to consult your doctor for professional advice. Above mentioned information and recommendations are just general and should be adapted to each person according to personal health indicators and status.

I haven't used it. But it seems like it may help with your metabolism when paired with a low calorie diet and exercise.

How can I fix sleep problem related to slimming pills?
03.December, 2008
I took Bio Synergy Fat Burner pills (green tea, l-tyrosine and citrus aurantium) for a month. After taking them for the first time I could not sleep. I thought that my body would adjust to them but I spent the entire month getting no sleep at night. And about a week after starting the pills I started having heart palpatations at night.
I finished the tablets 9 days ago. I've had no more bother with my heart but I still can't sleep. I am exhausted during the day but as soon as I go to bed at night I am suddenly wide awake. I'm getting a couple of hours sleep in the day but I don't want to get into the habbit of sleeping in the day time. My mum wants me to take sleeping pills but I really don't want to start taking more pills.
How can I fix this without having to start taking more pills?
firstly you should take away an important lesson from this experience and never take diet pills again.
secondly you are right. you should NOT take sleeping pills to get sleep. this will only make it harder for you to sleep naturally for the rest of your life. instead try exhausting yourself via exercise. make it a point to go running or walking or whatever every day and it should help your body get back into your natural sleep rhythm. time will help take away the effect from the pill as well and if you want a natural remedy chew some valerian root (in pill form as well). this is a plant that is supposed to help induce sleep and because it is all natural it will not harm you the way perscription sleep aids will.

Treadmill+Diet Pills+Eating Right 2 Lose Weight?
01.December, 2008
Im a 22 year old male, weight 250 pounds, and my height is 5'7. Im currently starting my diet plan to get skinny over the winter and my goal is to be around 180-170 or even lower.
Ive started out at walking on a treadmill 2 miles a day at 3.5 mph, using green tea fat burner diet pills (by Applied Nutrition brand from wal-mart), drinking slimfast, and eating smaller portions/eating right. Is this going to work and how fast should I see results? Thanks!
That is very good for you, I wish I had the time and character to drop weight naturally, but may be if I had that character obesity would have never been a problem for me.
For me acomplia has been the best. Phentermine also showed good results, but i started to get addicted and it had way too nasty side effects.
happy not to have any sides with acomplia so far.
I am losing a pound or few every week.
It is very popular in UK, Germany and many other countries worldwide. Not so much in the US yet.
This is good site for Acomplia info if anyone's interested

How effective are diet supplements?
29.November, 2008
Does anyone use over the counter diet aids such as relicore, NV, green tea fat burners, etc? If so, do they help or are they a crock? What helps with curbing appetites?
I have used numerous OTC diet 'supplements' in the past and they are all a crock. The original Stacker 2 with ephedra worked, but also caused heart palpitations which I still experience years later.
Often, when you think you're hungry, you're thirsty, so try that. Also, green tea helps detox your body, and is a great way to start a healthy diet. Limiting your salt intake helps keep off water weight, too. Air-popped popcorn with no salt or butter is a filling snack that is low in calories and fat.
