I drink the Lipton diet green tea citrus, and love it. I'm not a big fan of hot green tea. Anyways I read on Yahoo today that green tea is benefical in many ways, and it helps promote weight loss, and all. My question is does it matter whether its hot or cold?

as soon as i read that i went and made a nice glass of hot green tea! lol i dont think it matters as long as you dont over do it with the sugar, honey would be best to use as a sweetener. over all tea sweetened ice tea or a hot cup of green tea would be better than a can of coke or another soft drink.
forgot to add that cold drinks burn more calories while hot drinks keep you full for longer. =)

I read the caffeine in it will cause health problems. And i thought they were talking about herbal green tea. Is drinking Lipton Diet green tea bad also? because i just started drinking alot of it in the past week, about 3 or 4 bottles a day.

No, it does’nt.
Not getting enought water does.
To find out how much water you need take your weight, divide it by 2 and turn it in to ounces.
if you weight 100 pounds, you have 50 ounces of water a day. about 3 water bottles of water.

I started drinking Lipton Diet Green Tea with Citrus. While I do really enjoy the taste, the main reason I started drinking it was due to all the buzz about the health benefits of green tea. I don't really care for the taste of regular green tea from a bag or a tin. So, am I still getting all the health benefits of should I force myself to chug a cup of the fresh brewed stuff a couple times a day?

Brew green tea is the best. Avoid flavored or instant green tea if you want the full health benefits.

A 2007 report published by the US Department of Agriculture compares nearly 400 foods for their flavonoids content.

A original brew of green tea contains 127 milligrams of catechins.

Decaffeinated brewed green tea contains only 56 milligrams, less than half of the catechins found in an original brew.

Flavored brewed green tea has 43 milligrams.

Disappointingly, instant green tea has only 12 milligrams.

A 2005 study found that Lipton instant green tea has high fluoride content. Too much fluoride can be harmful.

Diet Green Tea?

01.December, 2008

Is it true that if i drink lipton diet green tea, it will help me loose weight? i heard that it ups your metabolism. dont answer unless you seriously know. thanks!

Aside from fighting heart disease, cancer, and other diseases, a new study shows that drinking green tea can also fight fat. The study showed that people who drank a bottle of green tea every day for three months lost more body fat than those who drank a bottle of regular tea. Basically, the substances found in green tea known as catechins may trigger weight loss by stimulating the body to burn calories and decreasing body fat. Drinking three cups of tea a day can boost your metabolic rate by 10 percent and dampen your appetite by 35 percent. Hope that helps

Do these offer the same health benefits as Green Tea that you make yourself via the packets? Or ones that you buy in a Coffee Shop?

Also, I'm drinking Diet Lipton Green Tea, or Diet Arizona Green Tea, would that have any effect whatsoever?
Oh, I mean the ones that come in 20 oz bottles or Cans.

not sure which you are referring to. If you mean the tea packets you add to water, then those type of tea drinks have instant tea, which is just powdered tea, among other ingredients like flavoring, sweeteners, preservatives, etc.(check the ingredients). The same benefits are probably in instant tea, but it's definitely not as natural as brewing your own tea with either tea bags or fresh tea leaves. It's the processing of instant tea which may decrease the amount of EGCG and antioxidants.

Lipton Diet Green Tea

Green tea weight loss is an acknowledged scientific fact. It's more powerful more burning fact than increasing metabolism. See the article below.

A good loose green tea will be better than Lipton's, that's my experience anyway.

Enjoy!

Diet Lipton Tea??

25.November, 2008

I know that you shouldn't drink diet soda because it's so bad for you with all of the chemicals. I don't drink diet soda, and I don't drink regular soda (too many calories). It's also been proven that people who drink diet soda have a greater chance of getting cancer. This is because of the artificial sweeteners or something of the like that they put in diet soda to make it have zero calories. But my question is: is it okay to drink Diet Lipton Green Tea. This is the stuff that comes in a plastic bottle; no tea bags. I've heard that it's the aspartame in diet soda that's so bad for you. I looked in the ingredients in the Lipton Tea and there is aspartame in it.
I'm not drinking the Lipton Tea because it has zero calories. I drink it because I think it tastes good. I'm not overweight in any way.

I don't like to drink/eat anything with artificial sweeteners in it, so I drink the Honest-Teas. They either use no sugar or a very little bit of natural cane sugar, so I like those.
