How healthy is Lipton's bottled citrus green tea?
29.November, 2008
I've come to enjoy Lipton's citrus green tea, but I've often wondered how healthy it really is, considering all the things other than green tea in there. How does the sugar and other additives make this drink stack up versus regular green tea you would brew? Hope to get some informative answers! Any sources or references to support your answer would be greatly appreciated!
I was going to get some, then I read the label, I brew my own. The primary ingredient after water is high fructose corn syrup, a chemically altered sugar that is no good for you at all.

I feel light headed and my breathing feels slow. I cant sleep at all either. Its like my body is trying to sleep but the caffeine is keeping me up. This is a real ugly feeling. Is this going to pass?
Eventually - it probably didn't taste all that good either. Stay in bed if you're light-headed. Put on the radio or something to distract you from not being able to sleep. Vodka has a real kick to it - it hits all of the sudden. If you have some B vitamins in the house, take them, or ibuprofen - it helps if you get a headache as a result.

How much caffeine does Lipton Organic Green Tea have?
23.November, 2008
I've asked this before, but I got an untrue answer. I KNOW for a fact that green tea has caffeine in it. SO don't say that it doesn't. The green tea that i am talking about are the ones bought in packet. (Where you boil water and add the tea packets in it for a few minutes)
It is NOT a bottle. And people, only answer if you know the answer.

According to the Lipton website, it's 45 mg per serving. Is that what you were looking for?

is lipton green tea good for your singing voice
17.November, 2008
i am 15 and im a beginner at singing . i really wanna help my voice get better and suceed in a singing career.ive heard that lipton green tea and honey can really help you sing better, also many people tell me that if u sing from your diagram it’ll help you sing better also, but can anyone tellll me if this is true and some other tips on how to make your singing voice really good thanks
Lipton green tea is not the best kind of tea for your voice, but it is not horrible either. Try hot teas especially, and lots of water, they help unclog the mucus on your vocal cords, creating a purer sound. Celestial Seasoning Imperial White Peach White Tea does wonders. Also, try avoiding dairy products and soda before you sing, and in general if possible.
Yes, you are supposed to sing from your diaphragm. That is your technical breathing muscle, located right below the rib cage. When you breathe in, your diaphragm should go out. As you release air through singing, it should come back in. This is something you have to train yourself to do; we are very used to using our lungs to breathe which is not correct while singing. (If your shoulders raise when you take a breath you are breathing from your lungs rather than your diaphragm.) Try laying on the ground with a text book on your stomach. As you inhale, watch the book raise, and as you exhale watch it fall. Try doing this for 5-15 minutes consistently and you will see a difference in your breathing and the tone of your voice.
The best thing you can do to become a better singer is get formal training. Your vocal coach could identify what your problem areas are and help you overcome them. I just started formally taking lessons about 2 months ago, and it has worked miracles already! It will also help save your voice over the long haul…singing the wrong way can be very damaging.
Well, I hope that helps. =) You can succeed in your singing dreams, just work hard and if at all possible take lessons!

How to make Lipton Green Tea taste better?
13.November, 2008
Should I add sugar or what?
Right now i'm just putting the bags in almost boiling water and letting them sit for a while. Then I drink it….not tasting very good.
Only let it steep for three minutes (the longer you steep tea, the more bitter it becomes) then put a little honey in. DON'T use sugar - it defeats the whole purpose of trying to incorporate green tea into your life.
AS A HEALTHY DRINK.
There is NOTHING good about sugar…health-wise, that is.

what is the best way to prepare lipton green tea for the best taste?
11.November, 2008
i would follow the instructions, which probably say to use very hot water…NOT boiling. If you boil water, let it cool down for about a minute before making your tea.
also, do not steep the the tea too long. I would experiment first starting at 1.5 minutes, and increasing the time if you think it's too weak. You can never tell with each batch of tea. good luck.

Which Green Tea, 'Lipton Bottled' or self prepare 'Leaf'' Type?
09.November, 2008
I am considering having Green Tea, to burn by weight. Please suggest if Lipton Bottled, Green Tea will do. What ingredients/composition do I need to look at in the pack? Once a day will do?
I don’t drink Tea or Coffee regularly. I am only doing it for losing weight.
They're both the same drink, except one is bottled and the other one you prepare yourself usually. Unless you get someone to make it!
The problem I have with the bottled kinds is that they usually contain lots of sugar first of all. secondly, the antioxidants and EGCG normally found in relatively significant amounts in hot brewed tea could possibly be absent in the bottled kinds. You don't know how they make the stuff. It could be just a concentrate of green tea. In that case, the antioxidants would be a lot less. You have more control of the tea when you make it. Put it over ice if you want, drink it straight, put a bit of sweetneer in it. , etc ect. good luck on your weight loss program.
