is sobe lean green tea, actually green tea?
08.January, 2009
or is it just flavored like green tea?
check the ingredients. If it says green tea, then it was made with brewed tea. It might also have other chemicals and flavorings to make it taste better. But to me, freshly brewed hot tea is green tea.

Recipes.com is a search database… Cmon man the point here is creativity or just knowledge on cooking.
Thats why I asked the yahoo community and didn't go to a recipe website.
Karin W… Took about 4 minutes to prepare….
Ready to eat…. Here it goes….
: i give it a 7 out of 10, that not bad man, pretty decent if you ask me.
7/10 on my poor culinary skills that is lol, but seriously, that is a twist I did not see coming, explosion of flavor lol.
not bad, not bad at all.
Any more contenders?
Simple sausage idea, great, not to creative but a classice yummy. How did my brian not link up sausage with mustard. 6 out of 10 (a 5 is considered good/yummy in my opinion. anything higher is because somehting unique, in your case, it was a good ol' classic)
CONDIMENT QUEEN (Crazy horse)
That sounds DELICIOUS, Ill get my mom to make it for me tommorow and ill attempt to help her lol.
BTW everyone, im only 16 and not the greatest chef.
LYDIA D, i improve your score to 7 out of 10, i was in the mood for that i guess lol.
not that your score matters or anything…
ADDITIONAL DETAIL # 4
All right guys im full after the pickle wraped in salted and peppered ham wrap smothered in cream cheese,
and after the classic Spicy sausage with honey mustard and fried minced garlic with plain white bread.
Ill check back tommorow for new recipes to try and rate.
Also, if you think you know the perfect cold chocolate milk recipe, let people taste test it here :

BTW any recipes on either question posts are free for anyone to try, just to let ya know lol incase some of you didn't.
Well, i kinda want everyone to try everyones work, and comment and follow up on it.
It's cool
You have a lot of condiments, lol.
Hmm, the spicy sausage sounds yummy, I would grill that up and eat it with mustard on the bread. And definitely a pickle. Grilled onions would be good on that too, if you have any.
It's not the most creative, but it sounds yummy to me, ha.
Edit: and those ham-cream cheese-pickle things above this are fantastic too, I forgot about those.

Allergies later in life?
11.November, 2008
I am 23 right now. Growing up I was never allergic to anything. I had no reason to fear anything because nothing ever affected me. Lately I've developed a couple of allergies, and I'm wondering if there is some type of adult onset of allergies or something? Last month I had a brain MRI, and the moment a drop of the contrast touched my arm I started to scream from the pain (my arm felt like it was being held in a fire). I didn't even know it had touched me until they said they weren't doing anything (Brain MRI's are done with your head in a sort of "cage" laying on a table). Then last night I was having a Sobe Green Tea for refreshment for, um, let's just say I was married Sunday, ok? An hour later my throat started to close and it felt like I was being choked. My husband rushed me to Froedtert and they said I had an allergic reaction to the Green Tea (that was the only new thing I'd had). What can be causing this development in allergies?
Your body keeps changing as you age, it's just at a slower pace than childhood or teenagehood. I developed allergies in my early and mid-20s that I never had before.
Go to your allergist and ask for a full test - they will put a grid on your back and poke you with lots of needles to see which allergens you react to. Then you'll know what to avoid. Specific food and medical allergies can be a little harder to discover, but looks like you've already discovered a big one.
Keep in mind that stress (from big life changes such as weddings) can also make your symptoms worse.

What beverage and what amount do you use for a "caffeine buzz" session?
09.November, 2008
Major caffeine addict here. I have a bit of an unhealthy habit where, when I need to focus extra hard, I ingest large amounts of caffeine in one session (within 2-3 hours).. cuz my tolerance is huge now, and only large amounts suffice for the needed "kick." The beverage I use for this, is coffee.
Does anyone else have a similar ritual? If so, what kind of caffeine product/beverage do you use? I'm considering a switch to green tea for the "buzz session" but I'm not sure that it's stimulating enough for my purposes, or if the theanine will be a welcome change.
I've done the energy drink route before, Red Bull and Sobe Adrenaline, now they have these tiny bottles "Nitro shots" of caffeine w/ herbs.. but as I become more health conscious, these products do not look like a good idea.
Matcha… a couple bowls.

middle school food menus?
07.November, 2008
ok i go to a private school..
and they serve
POPULAR
ENTREES:
quesedillas
pizza
salad (caesar, garden, chinese)
chicken nuggets
taquitos
bagels
terriaake and rice bowl
bbq sandwich
chicken patty sandwich
DRINKS:
arizona green tea, raspberry tea and lemon tea
caprisuns
sobe, (mango-orange, kiwi-strawberry etc.}
gatorade
SNACKS:
churro
cookie (m&m cookies, chocolate chip, rasin)
candy bars(all types of skittles, starburst, m&ms snickers twix, hersheys bar, etc.
*they have fruit like peachs and pears.
just need the healthiest lunch
Your school sells churros? Lucky girl!
Healthy? Obviously the best bet would be the salad, you just can’t load it down with salad dressing, or that would completely defeat the purpose.
Bagels are healthy, you can have them with some cream cheese.
The rice bowl is somewhat healthy and a good source of grain.
None of those drinks would be very good as they’re ridiculously loaded with sugar. You can’t get a hold of a bottle of water? Gatorade would be the next choice, but still a decent amount of sugar.
Fruit and salad would be the best lunch if you’re looking to go as healthy as possible. And this is all assuming you can’t brown-bag it of course, because if you did that you’d have far more healthy options and you would know exactly what went into it.

Are these decent foods?
03.November, 2008
Okay, I try to eat (semi)health conscious. I know that I am not perfect and cannot eat perfect all the time (I do not want to.. I like some good food too!!!)
Does my meals for the day sound okay so far?
-breakfast: rice krispies, skim milk and prunes
-lunch: SOBE diet green tea, tomato bisgue soup in bread bowl
is that okay? what is a good snack for when I go in a while?
it is healthy but you need to add some protein in your diet try having some eggs for breakfast or some type of meat. a good idea for a snack is peanut butter and crackers because it will give you more protein.

Will soft drinks go bad after a day without refridgeration?
28.October, 2008
soft drinks like Sobe, regular Welch's fruit drinks, Lipton's green tea…
If you don't refridgerate it after 24 hrs, does bacteria start growing in it? is it still drinkable?
bacteria starts growing in EVERYTHING once it's opened. the refrigeration just slows it down. considering that things like coke are really really acidic, it's a poor environment for bacteria to grow, especially dangerous types. it's probably ok after 24 hours, but i wouldn't go much longer than that. there's a ton of preservatives in those beverages anyway.
