can you eat one each day will they make you gain weight?
do they contain real tea
Yes, Sobe lean green tea is a great alternative to soda or sugary fruit juices. Each bottle only has 15 calories with the benefits of being sugar free, no fat, 100% Vitamin C, and no aspartame. It's also very low in caffeine. It would be next to impossible to gain weight from this drink. Healthy choice!

Sobe Green tea lists "natural flavor" as one of its ingredients..does this equal some kind of animal product?
19.September, 2008
I would hope it was something like that icecream blender, but it's hard to trust companies…I should have just bought tea's tea
Here's the thing-the green tea's already listed as an ingredient…I should have mentioned that before…this is why I am wondering what this "natural flavor" could be. It still might not be some weird animal product…but that's what I am trying to find out :\
getusum…way to show your ignorance and unjustly insult my intelligence…read Tom A's post and learn something…
thanks to everyone for the answers…most have been bery helpful
Well, you've got to be careful of who you trust, don't you. The USFDA doesn't forbid adding non-vegetarian "natural flavors" to your products. Just because Sobe Green Tea contains an ingredient that's titled "Natural Flavors" doesn't mean that the natural flavors are green tea. If they were, the manufacturers would likely have written "Green Tea Flavor". The reason a food or drink manufacturer writes "natural flavors" is to hide something in that might make consumers unwilling to actually purchase the product. That could include adding something non-Kosher, non-vegetarian, or something that just doesn't seem right, like drinking a nice cold bottle of green tea that has some pig blood added for its "natural flavor". In a speech at the UN, it was said that Coca Cola reportedly still uses flavors from the coca plant (cocaine). Wonder what would happen if the public knew that it was truly one of the ingredients?
The official page for Green Tea made by South Beach Beverage Company (or "SoBe" as they like to call it) is found at http://www.sobebev.com/product_info/exotic_green.shtml. On that site is information specific to Sobe about what "Natural Flavors" means for them: "Natural Flavors - Are flavoring ingredients obtained as essences or extracts derived from natural plant sources (as defined by FDA). Combining Natural Flavorings are what gives a product its distinctive flavor/taste." http://www.sobebev.com/product_info/sobegood_glossary.shtml#n
In most cases "natural flavors" cannot be trusted as a vegetarian ingredient. If you want to know what it means to a particular manufacturer, then you must contact them. Luckily, in this case, Sobe has posted on the Internet what those natural flavors are for drinks that they make, so contacting them is as easy as finding their website. For other companies, you might need to call to find out if there are any ingredients you are avoiding being included in the term "natural flavors".

Is Sobe's Green Tea good for you?
19.September, 2008
I've never liked tea my whole life, but very recently I've gotten into Sobe's Green Tea (with a blend of ginseng, ginkgo, guarana and echinacea! :P). I know green tea is supposed to be good for you, but this Sobe bottle says there's 62.5g of sugar. Sooo.. I was wondering if this stuff is good for you? Or at least not bad for you. lol
The green tea itself isn't bad for you, it has a lot of antioxidants. It's the sugar that's bad because of the calories.
