[if you work at starbucks] u don't have to, but how do u make a homemade skinny vanilla latte?

how do you make a homemade skinny vanilla latte?
green tea frap?
also, i want to try a tazo tea, which one do you think is the best?
You can buy the sugar-free vanilla syrup, and a syrup pump from starbucks. Then if you have a espresso machine with a frother, you steam some non-fat milk to 160 degrees. If your cup is 12oz put 1 shot of espresso and 3 pumps of SFV, 16oz (4 pumps SFV) and 20oz get 2 shots 5 pumps SFV).
The green tea frapps would be harder to duplicate at home. I'm not even sure how to explain that one to you… sorry.
And finally, my favorite tazo tea is the earl gray. However. We've just started tazo tea lattes, and my favorite one of those is the vanilla rooibos. You should definately give that one a try.

What kind of tea is good? And how do i go about making it?
21.December, 2008
Since the winter season is coming around, I’ve been interested in trying some hot teas. Recently, I bought an assorted box of Tazo tea (the kind from Starbucks). I like fruity things, and so far my favorite is “Wild Sweet Orange”, but it’s a little tangy so I added some honey. My friend suggested Celestial Seasoning’s ‘Wild Berry Zinger’
Anyways, I can’t seem to find a tea I like. They’re usually rather strong (like “Chai”, or “Lotus”) or too light (like “Zen” Tazo). I’m wondering if I’m brewing it incorrectly.
I first boiled the water, and poured 8 oz of it into the mug over the filter bag. Now, do I let it sit? or do i stir it? And for how long? The back of the box says ’steep’ Green Tea’s 3 minutes, and all others for 5. Steep means to soak, so I guess you don’t do anything, right?
I’m an over-analyst, so bear with me.
Does anyone know a good fruit/flavored tea, or can anyone help me brew these tea’s I already have for a more enjoyable experience?
First, here’s some information on brewing tea.
For black tea, bring the water to a boil and steep (soak) the tea in the water for as long as you like - 5 minutes is a standard time.
For oolong tea, bring the water to around 200 degrees F - below boiling, and steep the tea for 3 minutes. You can use the tea bag/leaves a second time.
For green tea, bring the water to around 180 degrees F and steep for 3 minutes. Again, you can reuse the tea.
Green and oolong tea (green, especially) will get bitter and unpleasant if steeped in boiling water - so pour the water before it gets to boiling.
Tazo teas are okay, but they are not of the highest quality. My favorite source for teas is Tao of Tea, in Portland, Oregon (http://www.taooftea.com/). They have first-rate teas, some of which are organic, and many many choices, both caffeinated and herbal.
Some personal favorites are:

ingredient list for starbucks frap.?
15.December, 2008
where can i find the ingredient list for the Tazo® Green Tea Frappuccino® Blended Crème at starbucks?
i'm lactose intolerant and need to know what's exactly in it.
thanks!
Since you are lactose intolerant you should stay away from the Starbucks Frappucinos. The same goes if you are allergic to corn. The cream base is made with milk and a flavored powder is added in. The coffee base is made with corn syrup (yes, the light version also has corn syrup) and milk and coffee. An alternative would be to get an Iced Soy Green Tea Latte' or even have them take that drink and put it in the blender. Let your barista know your limitations and they will be glad to help you find something good to drink.

Has anyone tried the Lipton Pyramid tea?
11.December, 2008
It's basically a new tea bag design, a mesh nylon pyramid instead of the traditional paper bag. This allows for the tea leaves to not be chopped and ground up to such small sizes and prevents the tea from obtaining any undesired flavoring from the paper.
Here's a link if you don't know what it is:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EM6PS0/ref=sc_pgb_t_2_172259011_m_ATVPDKIKX0DER_3/103-8757114-9261446?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&n=172259011&s=grocery&v=glance
I'm just wondering if this tea tastes any better than the Tazo brand tea, because that's what I usually drink (green and black).
Well the main reason it should be preferred is because of its ability to hold long tea leaves which tea connoisseurs claim to be very important…it's one reason why many people use loose tea leaves and a mesh metal ball to make their own tea - because they get to use the long leaves. I don't really want to use one of those mesh metal balls because I want to be able to do stuff (like get ready for class/work) while my tea is seeping, and sometimes I bring my tea with me in a disposable cup.
i havnt tried tazo but i love liipton pyrimid teas i love any tea exept lemon

Which of these drinks has the most caffeine?
03.December, 2008
1. Gatorade(any flavor except yellow)
2. Lipton Black Tea
3 Lipton Green Tea
4. Tazo Black Tea
5. Coca-Cola
6.Pepsi
7. Starbucks Doubleshot
8. Starbucks Mocha Frappucino
9. Mountain Dew
I know this is a stupid question, but this is the easiest way to get rhe answer for when I go out for the night with my friends.
I don't know the caffeine breakdown for alot of these items, but Gatorade has none and Mountain Dew (55mg) has more than regular Coke (34mg) or Pepsi (37.5mg).
Espresso has roughly 100mg of caffeine per 2 ounce shot and drip or brewed coffee (not sure of the difference) has 80-175mg.
I'll do a couple more searches and see if I can find more info for you, but I don't' think you'll be able to beat the coffee.
Edited to add: I'm finding green tea (per 8 oz) has between 15mg and 40mg. Black tea is 40-70mg.

What's your favorite brand of packaged tea, and what should I try next?
01.December, 2008
I want to find other good brands to enjoy, but I don't necessarily want to visit a specialty tea shop, so I'm looking for something that's available at Safeway. What's your favorite tea brand? I've had Celestial Seasonings, and I really like it. Lots of different flavors to try, and attractive, eco-friendly packaging. I've also tried Twinings herbal fusions, which had a medicinal scent to it. Tazo, IMO, is not spectacular, but I've only had Tazo green tea. Any suggestions?
there are a few different Tazo green tea types. Tazo china Green tips and Tazo Zen. Zen is an herbal infusion, and China Green tips is 100% green tea. I like china Green tips, but Zen is good also
If I were you, I would try Stash if you have it. Or if you have celestial seasons white tea, they have Imperial Peach and a few others. I can tell you that these are sooooooo good for packaged tea bags. good luck.

What is the Starbucks Iced Green Tea recipe?
29.November, 2008
I know I need the melon syrup and I would think the tazo tea, but am not sure what else. I would like to know cause I am vacationing soon and there is no starbucks within 2 hours, so I need to stock up!!
I think its iced tea with lemonade, I just like it without the lemonade!
Okay so I asked and found out!! They steep the green tea for 5 min in boiling water, obviously, then they take out the tea bags and add the same amount of cold water. After that they just pour it and add the melon syrup, there is 6 shots in a venti… at least thats what I was told…..
it's matcha or green tea powder, classic syrup and milk. a starbucks iced tall green tea would have about 3 to 5 tbsp of classic syrup and 3tsp. of matcha powder. dilute the powder with about 1 or tbsp of hot water before adding the cold milk so that it doesn't come out all lumpy.
