Is the Green tea Frappacino called a Tazo Green tea frap? I know that green tea powder (matcha) is used to make this drink, but Tazo does not sell (per the website) this green tea powder. Why is it called a Tazo Green tea frap when the green tea isn't even Tazo. Or is it? Thanks

Yes, the matcha powder that we use to make the green tea frappuccino does come from the tazo tea company. i guess they are only promoting this powder for starbucks drinks. there are some other products that they sell to starbucks that are unavailable to customers for buying directly from them.

:)

This is what it looks like:

http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=206779

Not too fond of paying $18.00 including shipping for 2 cartons, would pay up to $5 a carton for it though, I just can't find it anywhere.

THis tea can be found at any WOrlds Market retail stores. They specialize in a lot of specialty teas and spirits from around the world. http://www.worldmarket.com/home.jsp here is there website maybe u can find a location in your area that has it. tHE STORES do carry it but i am not sure u can buy the food and tea on the website so you might have to call around. But it would be worth it.

I was also going to say that you can pick a state and look up what stores in your location has the products you are looking for on www.tazo.com on there website there is also a customer service number u might be able to acll and see . ON the website just go to the bazaar links to find locations. peace

i doubt that just plain hot water is better for you, but I am a tea lover and love all kinds of tea, bagged or loose leaf. Tazo Zen is one of the better brand green tea bags out there. And there are many kinds of bagged green teas because i always look for them.

It is safe to drink green tea during pregnancy, in moderation. About three or four cups of green tea a day would probably be a sensible limit.

Green tea has been thought to be a health-promoting drink since ancient times. However, recent research has cast doubts over its benefits during pregnancy and has even raised some concerns about its safety. This is just one reason why it is wise to be cautious.

Claims for the benefits of green tea are based on the fact that it is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are chemical compounds that can help to prevent cell damage in our bodies. Research suggests (Cabrera et al 2006) that green tea may help protect you against a number of diseases, including heart disease, high blood pressure and some forms of cancer.

Other studies have shown that drinking green tea may be good for oral health, bone strength your ability to fight bacterial and viral infections.

However, the research for these claims is not strong so it is hard to draw any firm conclusions from it.

Some doctors are concerned that green tea may affect the body's folic acid (also called folate) levels (Correa et al 2000). Folic acid is an important nutrient during pregnancy. One study (Navarro-Peran et al 2005) linked neural tube defects in babies, such as spina bifida, to women drinking a large amount of green tea at around the time of conception. Spina bifida is a serious condition, which occurs when the tube around the central nervous system - the neural tube - fails to close completely. Neural tube defects such as spina bifida are usually associated with folic acid deficiency.

The data for this study is very weak so it is too soon to say that avoiding green tea during pregnancy will reduce the risk of neural tube defects, but more research is needed (Mennen et al 2005).

Remember that green tea, like other teas, contains some caffeine, which should be limited in pregnancy. Although green tea is relatively low in caffeine it would be unwise to drink vast quantities of it during pregnancy.

Finally, green tea, like other teas and coffee can also make it difficult for our bodies to absorb iron from food, which is another reason why it should be drunk in moderation.

and also i drink the iced tazo green tea with lemon grass from starbucks….does that count even tho im sure it has a fair amount of sugar

Green tea has mega antioxidants, so is good to reduce your risk of cancer. It's also supposed to help you lose weight. To that end, the Starbucks one probably won't help as much because of the sugar.

It's also supposed to help regulate blood sugar, control blood pressure, reduce risk of high cholesterol, help the immune system, and many other things.

if you're trying to lose some fat? By the way, caffeine has, like, no impact on my so that won't affect me if i drink it at night.

So is it better to drink it after breakfast or after dinner? Or both?

And is Tazo Green Tea a good one?
Also, which kind of green tea tastes the best but doesn't have any added sugars or artificial things in it?

anytime is fine if the caffeine doesn't bug u, if you want to lose weight while drinking, drink tea and water, about 8 medium glasses a day, and you'll b amazed at the weight loss. this is how diet pills work. they tell you to drink a large glass of water with each pill about 4 times a day, all it does is get you to hydrate properly
