ok, right now, i am 5 feet 9 inches, 200 lbs. i plan on going on a diet of salad and green tea (also lean meat such as chicken but this will happen rarely) from the end of june til september 1. i also plan on running for 30 to 40 min with sprinting and i will also be lifting. i will be taking protein shakes as well. now, will this be effective in losing weight, if so, how much should i lose, cause i want to sorta look like, not be at the weight class, christian bale in the machinist.

NO - you are setting yourself up for disaster!

Eat a balanced diet. take a one a day vitamin and cut out as much processed foods as you can.

Your exercise plans will do the rest.

YOU MUST EAT Breakfast and it should be your largest meal of the day. This starts your metabolism working and you have all day to burn calories. Lunch should be the normal portions and size. Dinner should be light, this is when you would eat your salads with MIXED greens and other veggies like shredded carrots, sliced radish for some zip. and even a little ROASTED or BOILED chicken cut up.

NOT FRIED NEVER FRIED FOODS OF ANY TYPE, "except eggs"

Wrong type of diet, some of what you will be eating is good, but you will be missing way too much, if you are going to excercise like you say, eat regular lean foods, including the carbohydrates, and excercise, just don't eat all that sugar and refined foods, as for bread, stick with grain bread. If you eat wrong, you will lose your muscle too, and never gain muscle tissue.

Yes, you'll lose some weight, but you won't be able to stay on the diet for very long. You need whole grains to fuel your brain and muscles. Your body burns carbs, not protein. You need more vegetables than just salad(I'm assuming by salad you mean just lettuce, tomatos etc.) If you eat raw vegetables and call that salad, you'll be better off, but still need the grains for your exercise level.

Keep in mind that you need to eat a certain amount of calories in a day just for your body to function. Bottom line for someone who does NOTHING is 1200. If you're going to be running, that figure will be considerably higher. Try going to http://www.shape.com for fitness calculators and other tips and recipes. Make sure you're getting the calories and nutrients for your fitness needs or you WILL burn yourself out.

Extreme diets may seem like a good idea for dropping weight quickly but never work because you're depriving yourself of things you're used to and things that you need, and you will eventually revert back to those things.

Eat several (4-6) small meals a day…your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
    (eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
    Meal suggestions:
    1st: piece of fruit
2nd: string cheese, summer sausage, cottage cheese/yogurt
    3rd: bowl of cereal
    4th: soup/sandwich
5th: a good dinner-meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie…your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
    6th: salad/raw veggies
    Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Simple exercise like walking/hiking…swimming and biking are low impact, playing baseball, basketball, volleyball will tone your body and you'll have fun doing it. Running and weight lifting will burn calories faster and raise your cardio.
