I just started taking a green tea supplement and I feel hungrier…is it because of the pill?

Green tea extract itself does not affect the appetite.
In fact, if you extract contains caffeine, it contains leptin that suppresses the appetite.
But green tea increases metabolism, so you may be feeling more hungry because you are more active.
Besides metabolism, green tea promotes weight loss in several ways:
Burn fat
Block dietary fat absorption
Prevent fat storage
Reduce blood level triglyceride, the most common form of chemical fat exists in our body.
So even though you are eating more, you will probably gain less weight than not drinking green tea.
So overall would you gain or lose more weight?
The second link below includes a study that shows that those who drink green tea long term (10+ years) have less fat.
