Have you tried green tea in order to lose weight?
27.December, 2008
I wonder if anyone has tried drinking green tea in order to lose weight? Answer this question only if you did tried this. In what period of time have you put weight off? How much pounds?
p.s. How many cups did you have per day?
Thank you in advance
Mihaela
Yes, I have. But in combination with regular exercise and healthy and balanced diet. The result was and still is very good :-). But there are more types of tea that are supposed to help you in weight loss, e.g. white tea and rooibos. Maybe you can also try these. White tea is of very gentle taste. Rooibos is quite full in aroma and tastes delicious.

Green tea works. I think i was the one that told you this when answering your cinnamon question? Anyway, it has antioxidants and small amounts of caffeine that help your body metabolize food faster and digest better so you go to the restroom. It is a cleanser. I drink it regularly (3 glasses a day) and i am 112 lbs 5'6". I do exercise regularly though but i eat alot!

Yeah me. I drink it as a habit but not for a purpose of losing weight.

Yes, I started drinking green tea as part of my diet last year. Since then I've grown a taste for it. I find it very refreshing and I now prefer it to any other tea. Apart from my diet I've found out more about the health aspect of green tea. There are many benefits especially as there is no caffiene in green tea.
I can drink as much as 8 - 10 cups a day. Where I live it is important to keep your fluid intake up because of the heat, green tea is an ideal way to do that.

Green tea alone is not the greatest weight loss product, so you need extra supplements in there to promote weight loss. But regular green tea is great for you so you should be drinking it anyway
