I'm overweight and I need to lose weight. Does the green tea pills really work? I saw them at the drug store……

well natural green tea from nepal is healthy and great!
try vitamin c supplements first, because you don't want to overdose on a green tea pill if you aren't sure it is healthy for you.

I have taken pills in the past that contained mainly green tea extract and i thought they did work. However, my sister started drinking one then two cups of green tea a day, and she had better results. Not only did she lose more weight than me, it was cheaper, and she got more hydration which helps in weight loss as well.

i just heard they give you bad wind but i do not know for sure ask the pharmacist they should know the best goodluck

The only thing they do is speed up your metabolism. They'll do absolutely nothing for you if you don't diet and exercise as well. When you diet, your metabolism goes down, so the green tea pills will only bring your metabolism back up to what it was before you started your diet. So no, it won't make you lose weight, but it'll keep your metabolism up so you can burn calories faster.

The thing about green tea is that it speeds up your metabolism, ever so slightly. It would be then of the slightest of help.
All of these things that help with weight loss do just that -help. They don't do it all.
I bought some supplement one time from GNC that was supposed to help burn calories. It had a guarantee that you would lose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time, if you took as directed. I read the directions:
Cardio vascular Exercise 5 times a week for 30 - 45 minutes a day.
Limit your calories to 1200 per day, cut out all of your bad junk food and sugary snacks.
Take a vitamin supplement.
Get 8 hours of sleep.
Do weight training 3 times per week, 20 minutes each time
and
take these pills. You will lose weight.
Well, if you do everything on the list, and DON'T take those pills you will still lose weight.
So no, there are no shortcuts. The vitamin supplements, protein supplements, even green tea, can be a helpful part of your diet while you are trying to lose weight, but you still have to put in the hours of exercise and the dedication to eating right.
