how much weight loss and how long would it take to lose the pounds?
Drinking any tea without any additives (sugar, etc.) fills you up and stops you drinking or eating something with a lot of calories.

Tea is great for you plus most teas have no calories which will help out with weightloss.
Try Starbucks tazo teas like passion or wild sweet orange.

It helps a lot. Green tea is on the bottom of many diet and detox diets as well. I would suggest you to find real Chinese or Japanese green tea. No any additives inside.

I've taken green tea both orally drinking several cups a day as well as in pills as supplements for 10 years or more. I can't say it has been that useful for losing weight even with several cups and a pill that contains ostensibly 5 or 10 cups of additional tea. I have not really noticed a decrease in hunger or anything from all the green tea frankly.
I continue to take green tea because it is zero calories and that's good for a drink and mainly because it is associated with lower cancer rates and inhibition of cancer in the digestive tract. The easiest to consume green tea in my opinion is jasmine green tea which softens the otherwise kind of rough texture.
If interested I can cough up some of the studies I have read on the anti-cancer properties of green tea.
