green tea while on a diet?

15.December, 2008

I'm drinking Lipton green tea with a little bit of sugar as well as water during my diet. Is lipton green tea good though? I'd read here that green tea helps with weight loss but did they drink it sugar free? How should I drink the green tea for the maximum health benefits? thanks! :)
Green tea has beneficial qualities, antioxidants, and there is some word that it helps with weight loss but that's debatable.

Try using fake sugar to sweeten it if you are worried about the sugar. Bottom line, it's not bad for you, and will help you get your recommended daily fluid intake…but I wouldn't count on it for significant weight loss results. A healthy eating plan and plenty of exercise accomplishes that.

Also try the Celestial Seasonings Authentic Green Tea. Its good too, I drink it almost everyday for over 2 years (just because I enjoy it) From what Ive read its packs the most punch in terms of the antioxidants. You should definitely skip the sugar if your goal is weight loss. I use a touch of splenda. Good luck.
