what are the benefits of green tea and does lipton green tea actually have any benefits?

When they speak of the health benefits of Green Tea they are talking about loose leaf brewed green tea. Benefits come from the antioxidant content which are responsible for preventing cell damage which ultimately results in less wrinkles, increased health and better overall appearance/health.
The green tea they sell in stores is just another sugary drink with a hint of antioxidants from green tea and is really just a joke and marketing tactic.
If you want the true benefits brew your own or at the very least (and I cringe to recommend this) buy the green tea bags.

No for Lipton. Loose Leaf tea has the best for benefits. They actually sell them in plastic tea bags.
