Are you Japanese?

I am interested in buying Matcha or Sencha teas (powdered green teas). Where is the best place to purchase them. Here, in the Seattle area, they are expensive, please give me some suggestions. Domo!
♡I'm not Japanese, but I live in Japan and I LOVE Matcha! (I even put a little Matcha in my milk sometimes, very good!)♡
Have you tried this site for Shizuoka Tea?:
They offer Sencha and send directly from Japan.

I have the tea from Shizuoka often and it's excellent!
As for Matcha, have you tried these sites yet?:

♡Good luck finding Matcha and Sencha, hope this info helps you!♡

I would try online, there are tea merchants such as Teavana or Elephant Tea which will carry these items. Seattle is a
coffee lover's paradise, not too many tea drinkers!!

Yes, I am Japanese. For the tea you want, probably on-line. However did you ever consider using green tea leaves. My favorite is gunpowder style tea leaves which means the tea leaves are just rolled into little balls. It is quite good, but DO NOT USE THE TEA STRAINERS!! They are inefficient and a hassle, just throw 1tsp per2 cups into a pot and let it steep for as long as possible (for a good strong tea).
Good Luck!

I buy all my tea (be it indian, chinese or japanese) from uptontea.com. They have a huge selection, supreme quality and excellent customer service. The tea you order comes custom-packaged or you can order a Japanese tea sampler, for instance. They also send steeping directions and tea catalogs. Prices are not too high as well. Give it a try!
