Are Mega-T "green tea pills" really safer than weight loss pills.?
13.November, 2008
I was going to take a weight loss pill but someone told me that they weren't safe and to take a green tea pill. But is there really a difference, also can teens take either one?
I'm 16 male, any response would be great!
Everyone responds differently to pills of any kind. I've been taking The Mega-T green tea pills and while I do believe they are safe and they do suppress my appetite, they contain too much caffein for me. You have to take them on a full stomach and only one in the morning otherwise you'll be awake for days. I can't sleep at night and eventually it catches up with me. I felt terrible. I've stopped taking them. On certain days I would have a bad reaction to them and it wasn't good. I felt anxious and nervous and they altered my taste buds. It wasn't a great experience.
I heard Dr. Valerie Saxion (naturopath) say that Hoodia was safe and proven very effective. But you have to purchase the authentic expensive ones the others are fake and contain a minimal amount of the actual component that you need. There's something else she said to take with it for maximum effectiveness but you are too young to be taking pills.
I honestly don't want to say more to you because you are so young. Unless you are obese you don't need to take anything other than do excercise and watch what you eat. Find the will power to do vigourous excersice 5x a week and get an eating plan that fits you. Kids on the track team lose alot of weight, if you are serious join track or something like that. You might not need pills to lose weight, you are young enough to excercise it off. Good luck! You can do it!

green tea is a good natural antioxidant and can aid you in your weight loss by improving your metabolism, but it won't make any miracle.its relatively safe too.

Weight loss makes you jittery but I've found Mega-T green tea to make me feel sick so either way it sucks.
You should go to health food store and get the real green tea pills. A little more expensive but you get all the benefits.

I use the Mega-T green tea pills a lot and I lose weight successfully with exercise and I watch what I eat. I make sure I eat five to six small meals a day. That's including my two snacks. Good Luck!

I think you should wait b4 taking anything cause your body is still growing and diet pills only help as long as you keep using them. once you stop the weight cames back.

There is only one weight loss pill that is proven to do anything more then suck money from your wallet and that is the pill Alli or Allie or something like that…
ALL weight loss pills are BULLSHIT.
They don't do a damn thing…
If there was a pill that worked then there would be a LOT less fat people out htere and I can guarentee that I would be on it…
Read the research… It is all bullshit.

Yes Green tea products are so much better than diet pills. All natural no caffeine and they wont harm you in any way.
I dont encourage any one any age to take diet pills. They harm you in the long run.

Sure, a teen can take these products. Green tea is a stimulant just like most other weight loss pills. Probably, you are fine with stimulants at your age, but don't overdo it.
Also, before you buy any products, do your research. NutritionalTree.com does not sell products but does rate them. You can get good information there–also read their Supplement Buying Guide at http://www.nutritionaltree.com/guide/buying_guide.aspx
