What is our world coming to?

Last night I ended up in the ER (allergic reaction to SOBE Green Tea). I ended up being right in the middle of some pretty big action. Apparently there were four shootings, and one of them was a 4 year old child. I had the opportunity to talk to the girlfriend of one of the victims shot in the chest and leg. I was so shocked I said "What happened? Why did he get shot?" She said that a vehicle pulled up and just started shooting. She doesn't even know why, and she said neither did her boyfriend, who was in critical condition at that time. The place was swarming with police and they kept questioning her, while she was crying. A 4 year old girl had the misfortune of getting caught up in the whole thing, and was shot in the head. What would convince somebody it was ok to open fire on a group of people? Especially where children are? What kind of person can just drive up and start shooting? I can't understand this. I pray and grieve for her parents. What is your take?
My take? Evil. That's it, there is no other explanation than evil. Anyone who thinks is okay to hurt a child is evil. Anyone who thinks its okay to kill for kicks is evil. And no, I don't go for the "devil made me do it", we make our own decisions, so someone got a gun, and used it, free will. Hope they catch the monster, and hope he/she gets put in general population in prison, won't last long there after shooting a 4-year old.

there are truly evil people among us. And I know it's hard to believe but it's true. we can only pray and hope it changes. It's a scary place.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to what RACE the shooter was??
On a positive note, at least you only had an allergic reation to a drink, and you werent shot. And, youre out of hte hospital now! Congrats!! As for your experiences - this is daily life in Oakland, California. Some people have very little respect for life…

Very very sad situation. This is what happens in a world where God is not important. Where people value posessions, money and self more than God.

My take is that the bible says in the end times, because inequity abounds, the love of many will grow cold…and things will wax worse and worse. We are seeing those prophecies fulfilled, every day, before our very eyes.

The world is terrible man satan does get ahold of alotta ppl unfortunately im from cincinnati n this type of stuff happens everyday you just gotta pray for ppl n get urself right with god in case u get caught up in a bad situation at least u kno ur going to a better place (Heaven) just keep prayin

this world has went crazy. We see so much death on the internet [18 die in Iraq, 118 die today] Then we see these horrible movies even the commercials scare me.
Everyone has went crazy and no life seems to mean anything anymore. It is time for the Lord to begin his rein on this earth before there is no one left.

The worls is sad & strange !
Let's hope that someday we'll understand & come together
gang killings & other for material personal gains are understandable
But war killings , disease killings, poverty killings, frredom killings… are much large in scale & scope that is beyond our normal grasp.
Is this world gone mad since one can posess a tremendous power ?
or some kind of RITUALS ??
or this is the price to pay for the Tree of Knowledge !!!

After last light, I hope you feel better. It is shock for me every time I here of killings and mass murders. How can it be? Prayer is the best thing to do. In Matthew 6:9-13, gives us a model prayer. In verse 10 says: "Let your kingdom come". That kingdom promises that wicked ones will be no more(Psalm 37:10). We need to remember why the world is wicked. In 1John 5:19 state that "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." The "wicked one" is Satan, and he will not stop until everyone is dead, knowing he has a short time left(Revelation 12:12). Mankind is at fault too. In 2 Timothy 3:1-5 tells about the signs of the last days. Unfortunately, children suffer in these days, but remember the words in Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I hope this has been a comfort for all those who have experience tragedy in their lives.
