Green tea okay?
05.November, 2008
I LOVE green tea, I drink Arizona Diet green tea, starbucks tazo green tea, sometimes the lipton diet green tea. Basically everyday I have it, cause it tastes good a good antioxidant and for the metabolism. I love it, but is it okay to drink when you are TTC or pregnant? Do I have to give it up or can I drink it once a day?
You got me thinking because I am a teadrinker too but haven't had much since getting pregnant but i do love greentea so I looked it up online and the first site i came to was interesting http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/nutrition/foodsafety/greenteaexpert/

I drank it all the time before getting pregnant (TTC for two years) I did stop though as soon as I found out I was pg.
If you are not diabetic though I would be more worried about the "Diet" stuff - aspartame, phylaline, etc is really not good, even for adults…. I dont even chew gum with it anymore now that I'm pg.

It should be fine, it only has antioxidants in it, and those are great for your body. Just make sure there is no caffeine in it.
