What is the Starbucks Iced Green Tea recipe?
29.November, 2008
I know I need the melon syrup and I would think the tazo tea, but am not sure what else. I would like to know cause I am vacationing soon and there is no starbucks within 2 hours, so I need to stock up!!
I think its iced tea with lemonade, I just like it without the lemonade!
Okay so I asked and found out!! They steep the green tea for 5 min in boiling water, obviously, then they take out the tea bags and add the same amount of cold water. After that they just pour it and add the melon syrup, there is 6 shots in a venti… at least thats what I was told…..
it's matcha or green tea powder, classic syrup and milk. a starbucks iced tall green tea would have about 3 to 5 tbsp of classic syrup and 3tsp. of matcha powder. dilute the powder with about 1 or tbsp of hot water before adding the cold milk so that it doesn't come out all lumpy.

I'd like to know the same thing… However, the answer supplied above is for an iced green tea latte…those are good, too.
But for a healthier, lighter alternative, I've been getting the shaken iced green tea, also. It tastes a bit minty….and I honestly haven't noticed the melon flavor in the shaken tea. One of these times, if it's not too busy in my local Starbucks, I'll ask them how it's made!

It's only melon syrup, matcha powder, water, and ice mixed together cold.
For the frappuccino version, you will need something called a "beverage base," which Starbucks does not sell and is impossible to make at home. Using skim milk will make something close, but not quite the same.
